How do I make a scrolling text sign on my iPhone?

Open Flaspek, tap the microphone, say your message and tap Show. The text scrolls across the whole screen at maximum brightness, big enough to read from across a room or a crowd. Pinch to resize, drag up or down to change the speed, swipe down to exit.

Is Flaspek free?

Yes. Every style, effect, Live mode and favorites are free. The free tier allows 2 shows per calendar day, where a show is a new message going fullscreen; showing the same message again is free. Flaspek Pro lifts the daily limit with a weekly subscription or a one-time lifetime unlock. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store for your country.

What is Live mode?

Tap Live and speak while the sign is already on screen. Every word appears as you say it, so you can hold the phone over your head and keep talking. Recording stops by itself after about 8 seconds of silence; tap Restart or squeeze your AirPods to start a new line.

Speech recognition isn't working

Make sure Microphone and Speech Recognition are allowed in Settings → Flaspek. Speech recognition is provided by Apple and needs an internet connection for most languages. If a sentence is misheard, tap one of the language capsules under the text to re-record it in another language.

AirPods remote control doesn't trigger

AirPods control only works in Live mode on a real iPhone. Squeeze the stem (single, double or triple press all work) to start a new line. Make sure the AirPods are connected and that a Live session is running: tap Live once first, then use the squeeze.

How do I get punctuation and symbols in the sign?

Say the punctuation aloud: "comma", "period", "question mark", "exclamation mark". Symbols work the same way: say "heart sign", "star sign" or "arrow sign" and you get ♥ ★ →. In Russian say «запятая», «точка», «вопросительный знак», «сердечко», «звёздочка», «стрелочка». English dictation also gets automatic punctuation from Apple.

Which languages are supported?

Speech recognition works in 16 languages: English, 中文, हिन्दी, Español, Français, العربية, Português, Русский, Bahasa Indonesia, Deutsch, 日本語, Türkçe, 한국어, Italiano, Українська and Polski, plus Auto for your device language. The app interface is localized in 15 languages.

Does Flaspek work offline?

The sign itself works fully offline. Speech recognition needs an internet connection unless your iPhone has an on-device speech model installed for that language. Typing a message always works offline.

How do I translate the sign into another language?

In fullscreen, open the … menu and choose Translate to…. The sign is shown in the target language, including while you speak in Live mode. iOS may ask to download a language pack the first time.

How do I save and reuse a message?

After dictating, tap the heart button next to Show to save the message with its current style. The heart button on the home screen opens Favorites and Recents; the last 20 shown messages are kept automatically.

How do I share the sign as a video or picture?

In fullscreen, open the … menu and choose Share as video (one loop, 1080p) or Share as poster (a static image). Both open the standard iOS share sheet.

Can I use Siri?

Yes: "Show my sign in Flaspek" shows the last message, "Start live in Flaspek" starts a Live session. Both also appear in the Shortcuts app.

How do I cancel or restore Flaspek Pro?

Cancel the weekly plan in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or tap the Flaspek Pro line at the bottom of the home screen and choose Manage subscription. To restore a purchase on a new phone, open the same screen and tap Restore purchases. The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase and never renews.

How do I delete my data?

All messages, favorites and settings are stored only on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes everything. Flaspek has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.
